As almost always happens, a parent influences a child's creative process . . . . . . My mother, Mary Tuttle Haydn, passed on in 1982, before her 62nd Birth Anniversary. Her love of Nature, her wonder at the myriad ways in which life finds expression on our Earth (and beyond) inspires me. Here she was in 1923 :

My sculptures are made, for the most part, with natural elements. Although they are from the Earth, they must be exhibited indoors, away from sunlight or other sources of ultra violet rays, the norm for works of fine art :

"The Gnome King" was a Post Oak tree trunk remnant. "He" fell to Earth in December 2023. Jonny gathered his broken pieces and began creating "The Gnome King Collection" in the summer of 2024. Here is its first sculpture :
